How To Make These Macrame Vases

EN: I’ve always been a fan of macrame but never really made the time to actually do a DIY. Time’s always a factor, isn’t it? That’s why I decided to start with a VERY simple DIY, something that’s neither complicated nor takes up much time. And since I’m an even bigger fan of upcycling things, I had this idea for the macrame vases. If you have a look at Pinterest, you’ll find endless inspirations on how to use macrame rope but I wanted to start off very easily with these vases. They are also great to keep your make up brushes organised or your cutlery in the kitchen. They also look great as pots for little plants. So easy yet so beautiful.

DE: Ich war schon immer ein Fan von Makramee, aber irgendwie kam ich nie dazu, ein DIY umzusetzen. Die Zeit ist immer irgendwie knapp, oder? Daher beschloss ich mit einem SEHR simplen DIY zu starten, was weder kompliziert, noch viel Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Und da ich ein noch grösserer Fan von Wiederverwertung bin, kam mir die Idee diese Makramee Vasen zu machen. Wenn man bei Pinterest schaut, findet man unzählige wunderschöne Versionen wie Makramee Garn eingesetzt wird, aber ich wollte mit diesen Vasen einen ersten und vor allem sehr einfachen Versuch wagen. Auch super geeignet für die Aufbewahrung von Pinseln auf dem Schminktisch oder in der Küche für Besteck oder Kochlöffel. Auch schön eingesetzt sieht es aus als Blumentopf für kleinere Pflanzen. So einfach geht’s:

Dosen // Cans
Makramee Garn // Macrame rope
Schere // Scissors
Heissklebepistole // Hot glue gun

1. Beginne am Dosenende und klebe das Makramee Garn mit der Heissklebepistole an der Dose fest. // Start at the bottom of the can and glue one end of the macrame rope to the can.2. Wickel das Garn um die Dose und klebe es über das lose Ende, um es zu bedecken. // Wrap the rope once around the can and glue it over the loose end to cover it.3. Wickel das Garn eng um die Dose und befestige es hin und wieder mit dem Kleber. // Wrap the rope tight around the can and secure it occasionally with the glue.4. Nachdem die Dose vollständig umwickelt ist, schneide das Garn ab und befestige es mit der Heissklebepistole. // After the can is fully wrapped, cut the rope and glue the loose end to the can.
